The “Nature Epic” Sound and Light Outdoor Thematic Show

Since December 2014, a multimedia show entitled “nature epic” has been shown on the outer facades of the new site of Shanghai Natural History Museum. It is one of the largest museums of natural history in China, and the first thematic natural museum in the world. Among the exhibited items, the “Nature Epic”, an interactive large-scale multimedia projection show staged on the outer facades, became one of the highlights.

Centering on the themes of universe, life, and civilization, the show included three chapters: "the chapter of evolution”, “the picture of life”, and “the epic of civilization”.

With the cell wall and the water as the medium of presentation, the interactive multimedia projection show combined the main forms of expression like large-scale laser, projection, images from water spray, and glasses-free 3D technology, intending to present to the audience a visual feast and an immersive experience involving science and technology, nature, art, and humanities. As the general contractor of “Nature Epic”, Motion Magic was responsible for the artistic designing, content creation and hardware integration of the entire show.
